What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Burst or frozen pipes, sewage backups, no water, gas leaks, overflowing toilets, and water heater failures are all emergencies we respond to immediately. Slow drips and minor issues can be scheduled during regular hours.
How fast will an emergency plumber actually get here?
60 to 90 minutes for most calls across the North Louisiana service area — Ruston, Monroe, West Monroe, and surrounding communities. On the busiest nights, service members skip the regular queue.
What's the after-hours surcharge?
A flat surcharge added to the repair cost. That covers dispatch, mobilization, and the overnight premium. The repair itself is priced the same as it would be at 2pm on a Tuesday — no emergency tax on the actual work.
Can I wait until morning?
If it's an active leak, sewage backup, or gas smell — no. Cost of damage from waiting almost always exceeds the surcharge. If it's a slow drip, running toilet, or one slow drain, absolutely yes. We'll tell you honestly on the phone which bucket yours falls into.
What should I do before the tech arrives?
Three things. 1) Shut the main water valve off if it's a leak — typically front of house, basement, or outside near the meter. 2) If you smell gas, leave the house and shut the gas meter off if you know how; don't flip switches. 3) Move furniture/belongings off wet floors. Don't try to fix anything.
Will insurance cover emergency plumbing?
The repair usually isn't covered — pipes and fixtures are your responsibility. The water damage caused by a sudden burst usually IS covered under homeowner's insurance. Call the insurance company after you call us. We'll document the loss and photograph everything for the adjuster.
Do you do emergency commercial calls?
Yes — restaurants, apartment buildings, HOAs, and property managers are all part of our service area. Response is similar but scoped for larger systems.
Is there anything you won't come out for 24/7?
New installs — water heater swap, bathroom remodel, repipe — aren't emergency scope and we schedule those next-day. Also, if it's clearly a DIY-fixable issue (a clogged P-trap under the sink, a running flapper), we'll tell you on the phone and save you the trip fee.
